How to Register

To access our registration process, first check you are in our catchment area. If you have any questions about your eligibilty join this surgery please contact us.

Across our 3 sites, Solent GP Surgery covers most of the city of Southampton. If you live in SO14, SO15, SO16 or SO17 postcode areas then you are eligible to register.

Temporary Services

If you are living temporarily in the area for less than 6 months you will be able to register as a temporary patient. If you will be here for longer then you will be offered permanent registration.

We do not offer temporary registration to patients registered with another surgery within Southampton.

Overseas Visitors

If you are a visitor from abroad then you may be required to pay for NHS treatment (unless you are working, studying, claiming asylum or have been given leave to remain)

Any hospital treatment (except emergency care) may incur a cost.

Your Named GP

All Patients registered with the surgery will have been allocated a named accountable GP who will be responsible for your overall care. However, you can book appointments with any of the GPs at the surgery. If you have a preference to which GP you are allocated, the practice will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your requests. If you wish to know which GP has been allocated to you, please ask reception at your next visit.
